Matt Berges
- Green Housing Manager, matthew.berges AT ehw.org
Matt started working for EHW a few years ago, on a part time basis, doing housing inspections, consulting, trouble shooting, presenting, and helping to establish the Affordable Green Housing Center. Matt and his family live just a few minutes from the office, in Tremont/Duck Island, where he has been building and renovating houses since 2002.  His educational background is in American Studies, with a minor in Sociology and Psychology.  After college, Matt completed a year of service with AmeriCorps in California, working for Habitat for Humanity, learning and managing the construction process.  Matt’s passion and interest for Green Building developed while working in California and decided to continue to learn and work in the green building industry.  All of Matt’s past job experiences have contributed to where he is today.  Each job and each project produces valuable learning experiences that he can bring to the next one.  Matt’s favorite thing about working with EHW is that the organization cares about its employees and promotes continuing education in a field that he loves.  Matt’s favorite place in Cleveland is at home with his family.  When Matt is not working, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters and his wife, exploring all that Cleveland has to offer,
